RE: New guy with some questions!

Hey. I'm just a user, not a P90X coach or anything, but I'll take a shot at your questions.

1) Don't worry if you struggle through any exercise, just do the best you can, write it down and see how you improve week to week. Also it's better to hit the pause button and rest than to skip an exercise.

2) 6 days or 7 if you do the stretching. Taking the same day off is fine. The most important thing is to do all the workouts. Other people on this board have posted that if they unexpectedly had to miss a day here or there, they just pick up where they left off.

3) The Fitness Guide tells you what order to do the workouts in.

4) Just bend your knees to get full range on the pull ups. Or use a chair like they do in the DVD.

5) Perhaps an expert should answer this one.

6) Not going to touch this one either.

OK so I answered 4 out of 6. Hope this helps.

I need help with some Questions?
Here are some questions I really need help with!

    MATHS
    1) 640 cubed centimetres of water is poured into a bottle with a uniform cross-section. If the water level rises 16cm, find the cross-section area of the bottle.
2)A cylindrical can contains 1 litre (1 litre=1000cm cubed) of liquid. Given that its internal radius is 49mm, find the depth of liquid in the can in millimetres.

    SCIENCE
    1) Blood from the _____ travels from the heart to the lungs and back to the heart. It then goes to the body. It is a ______ pump.
    2) The activities of the body are controlled by the brain and _________ which together comprises the central _________.
    3) Messages travel along nerves in the form of _________ ___________.
    4) _______ nerves receive messages from our sense receptors and send them to the _________. _______ nerves then tell our muscles how to react.

    Thanks for viewing(:

    MATHS
Your questions relate to the area of a cylinder. So, we know that the area of a cylinder is:
?*radius^2* height of cylinder, or the cross sectional area*height for any prism.

so the first question, we know the volume is equal to 640.
    ?r^2h=640
    sub all known values
    ?*r^2*16=640
since the area of a circle is ?r^2, we can just remove 16 from the left side by dividing by 16
    therefore, ?r^2=40 (+remember units)

    2) here, the unknown is h. therefore, we shall do a similar thing. HOWEVER, we must watch our units, since the water is in cm and the bottle is in mm, we shall turn 49 into 4.9 (and it’s easier because 1000 would actually become 1000000000 mm^2
    ? . 4.9^2 . h = 1000
with the aid of a calculator
    75.43 (2dp) *h=1000
remove 75.43 by dividing both sides by it
therefore, h=13.25738801… that is in cm, so turn it into mm—> 132.57

    Biology
body- blood moves from the body to be ‘refilled’ by the lungs etc. so oxygen can be given to cells
muscular? – its made of muscle

    nerves
    nervous system

    electrical impulses

    sensory
    brain
    motor

maybe you should refer to a textbook! there’s also a lot of stuff on the internet to read about, such as bbc bitesize, but stick to educational sites as some are very high detail! hope i have helped!
