Well Done Uncle Sam…

Yet another stellar job by Uncle Sam… The Cash For Clunkers Program.
Not only did we manage to blow the entire $3 BILLION budget on the program in the blink of an eye.
We also managed to help everyone EXCEPT AMERICA!
Sure, of the Top 10 Most Purchased Cars in the program Ford had 2 spots, but that’s it. The other 8 spots show us that the vast majority of the stimulated cash flow by this program went to aid foreign car manufactures (41% of the new vehicles purchased came from Japanese automakers alone!).
So let me get this straight, if I went out and spent my American money to help a Foreign car company profit, American taxpayers (yeah, that’s you!) would thank me by giving me their hard earned money in the form of a tax credit? Make sense to you?
But let’s not despair just yet… American cars were a very big part of this program.
So big in fact that EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Top 10 Traded-In Vehicles is a product of the heartland of America in Detroit.
In summary…
Take American cars off the road
Replace them with brand new foreign cars
Let foreign companies profit during our tough economic times
Penalize American Tax payers in order to “Thank” those that gave money to other countries…
Is that about right?
Just thinkin’ out loud here. What are your thoughts? Leave me a comment down below.

How much should I charge to be a consultant on opening a fitness facility?
I am looking for hourly pay vs. lump sum for project and how much on each. I have the experience in fitness and getting what people what they want in a fitness center, I have always included that as part of being gym manager. I am now managing a facility, and have been approached by someone outside my competition area. Answers preferably from someone who consults and does gym build outs for a living.
Somewhere between what you think you’re worth and what you think the client will pay should do it !
When will I need to buy additional business insurance for my car?
I don’t want to spend extra money on business insurance because I have an inactive self-employed business and I don’t go to see clients often. What happens if I had a car accident on my way to see a friend? OR to see a cleint? Does it make a difference when I make a claim? What about % of my business use of car and personal use of car? Is it a major factor for the insurance company to define if it is business use or not. What about the nature of business? I am looking for some professional advices. Thank you!
If you didn’t have business coverage and the insurance company could prove that you were using the car in any business pursuit they could deny any claim that you might file. That could be hard for them to prove, though.
Most companies don’t worry about percentage of business or personal use, if you go see one client in a year you need business insurance. If you have business insurance you can still use the car for personal use as much as you want.
What are effective baseball workouts to do at the gym?
I am currently 14 years old and I have a gym membership. I have this gym membership for one reason, to workout for baseball season. I have been going these past few weeks doing fully body workouts. Many people say it’s good to focus and specific body parts while going to the gym. I was hoping that someone with a well-known background of baseball to possibly give me a workout schedule to perform while at the gym.
My main positions are pitcher and 3rd base. I was hoping to increase arm strength and get stronger legs.
Also be stronger for hitting.
Yeah, sorry, the person who said leg curls is a big nono, as are about every machine unless you’re doing rehab. The reason being because it will not transfer over onto the ball field because it doesn’t stimulate the body the same way it would if you were doing anything baseball-related.
Follow this, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmsFum29zRfMcyiJOZiQOjHty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080225182944AALfEgZ&show=7#profile-info-wioxLD6baa%29., except I’d bump up the RM to 60-80%
As for the workouts themselves, you should go find a trainer at the gym and just ask for some tips, because without seeing you and perhaps any imbalances you have, it’s a shot in the dark, but here you go:
Monday:
Front Squat
Dumbell Shoulder Press
Pull Ups
Dumbbell bench
Bent over rows
Core stuff
Tuesday:
Running
Wednesday:
Power Cleans
Jumps Squats
Dumbbell shoulder press
Dumbbell bench
Core Stuff
Thursday:
Running
Friday:
1-legged squats
Deadlift
Dumbbell bench
Pull-ups
Reverse Flys
Core Stuff
You’re right in doing full-body workouts. However, if you FIRST start working out, you want to just do a general workout to workout every group for 4-7 weeks, and then start the specific workouts above that will really help transfer over to the baseball field. You can do some isolation lifts, but mainly, you want the whole body involved, or more than a couple parts, because that’s what happens in baseball, there’s never any isolation, the body has to work as a whole.
Edited: As for the person who said long-toss, that’s a big no-no as well. http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=7805352&blogId=484814668

What kind of business should I put up in an area wherein the students were mostly seen? And they are in budget
The location was sorrounded by the schools ,two barbeque stations were already there and its a quiete good business for them because its cheap for the student. I’m planning to have my own business too but not a bbq, any suggestions what kind of business should I put up that will attract the students? I tried the carenderia/cafeteria but it didnt do good. By the way the location had a limited parking area. And its near in the boarding house, subdivisions.
school supplies, stationaries, e-load, snacks (chips). you can display & sell posters & souvenirs featuring popular tv characters to attract the students.
if it’s in a residential area you can also carry toiletries
& you can rent out a small part of your store for a xerox operator
How do you throw a baseball without your shoulder hurting?
I was wondering if someone could just give me a few tips of advice on how to throw a baseball without it making your shoulder hurt. I already tried to google it, but couldn’t find anything useful. Thanks for your help!
Throw like you regularly do, but follow through. If you don’t follow through, you can injure your shoulder easily.
Something about your shoulder could be hurt in the first place. Maybe your rotator cup. You should probably go see a doctor if the tips don’t work before throwing again.
