Well Done Uncle Sam…

Yet another stellar job by Uncle Sam… The Cash For Clunkers Program.

Not only did we manage to blow the entire $3 BILLION budget on the program in the blink of an eye.

We also managed to help everyone EXCEPT AMERICA!

Sure, of the Top 10 Most Purchased Cars in the program Ford had 2 spots, but that’s it.  The other 8 spots show us that the vast majority of the stimulated cash flow by this program went to aid foreign car manufactures (41% of the new vehicles purchased came from Japanese automakers alone!).

So let me get this straight, if I went out and spent my American money to help a Foreign car company profit, American taxpayers (yeah, that’s you!) would thank me by giving me their hard earned money in the form of a tax credit?  Make sense to you?

But let’s not despair just yet… American cars were a very big part of this program.

So big in fact that EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Top 10 Traded-In Vehicles is a product of the heartland of America in Detroit.

In summary…

Take American cars off the road
Replace them with brand new foreign cars
Let foreign companies profit during our tough economic times
Penalize American Tax payers in order to “Thank” those that gave money to other countries…

Is that about right?

Just thinkin’ out loud here.  What are your thoughts?  Leave me a comment down below.

Rock On!

How can I incorporate an actual baseball into a wedding centerpiece?

I have looked all over the internet and can not find anything! I’m thinking simple. A vase that I could somehow have a baseball in it? The reception will be a baseball theme with gerber daisies as the flowers. Thanks for your help!

how about these? http://www.fundeliver.com/hobby-sport-wedding-cake-toppers-c-1_6/personalized-baseball-and-soccer-sport-theme-wedding-cake-topper-and-decoration-p-93
or http://www.fundeliver.com/baseball-theme-cake-toppers-p-25.

They are custom sculpted mini figurines made from your photo to resemble you. Your hobbies, interests and personalities can all be reflected by these.

I ordered one for my wedding as cake topper. My fiance is a huge Philadelphia fan, so I add three props, a basketball, a hockey puck and a football. They look so cute. Hope these can help.

What type of baseball glove should I buy my 9 year son and my 5 year old daugther?

My 9 year son and 5 year old daugther are going to be playing baseball for the first time. What kind of glove should I buy them, I saw the t-ball gloves at target for my daugther are those any good? For my son, I am lost any suggestions?

I really love Wilson. Wilson is really easy to break in and it is comfortable on the hand and it has lasted me five years, so i am fairly certain your son or daughter couldn’t do any damage to it. Wilson is also fairly inexpensive if you buy their smaller gloves. As for a cheap T-ball glove at target, it depends on how long it will be used. If it will just be used for T-ball and then she decides not to play anymore then it would be perfect. But if she is serious about playing you might want to get her a nicer one, seeing as those cheap ones do not break in at all.

Can someone give me a good baseball workout during the winter?

Baseball tryouts are in march, and I want to be ready but there is already snow on the ground and will probably be until then. I really need a good way to play baseball somehow during the winter, because the team’s really gonna need me, its freshman ball so if that helps. Please any ideas are appreciated.

If you or ur parents have the money, look into the P90X. I’m a college ballplayer and we live by it. It’s alot about overall core strength which is exactly what you need for baseball. Any coach will keep a great athlete, especially at the freshman level, because you can’t gain the baseball skills you need w/o playing so getting in shape is the best you can do for now.
Definitely do the shoulder exercises mentioned above w/ the rubber tubing or theraband. But trust me, you can overpower the game with athleticism over skill until you get to D1 level ball so that would be a great start. You’ll have the time to develop the finer points as you go through the season. Best of luck and go get em…

What are the rules for dart baseball for the special baseball dartboard?

What are the rules to the game when using the baseball diamond that comes on the back of certain dartboards? One thing I dont understand is the very middle where there are 2 H’s and a red dot.

the game is called "Dartball" & is traditionally played in a league or similar surrounding. Each team has nine players who "bat" in turn w their team until three outs have been posted, & then the opposing team bats in the same manner

Everything marked on the board is handled by regular baseball rules. Unmarked areas are counted as bals fouled off w a strike assigned wken the batter has les than two strikes.

It is fully acceptable to to heckle "batters" as they prepare tp throw, just like in baseball.

Fpr league play there are three games played to establish best two out of three/ Obviously the game could also be okayed w just two players, one for each team.

Play Ball !!
